Barbados
(April 15- 19, 2004)
It is always so interesting
when you recognize God has you on a line to deal with certain things.
While in Barbados the
meetings were great, but I also recognized God had me there for a purpose. I
spent time at the museum, which I always like to do as I find many things that
give clues to the entrenchment of the enemy that is in a land.
Barbados is a relatively
small island on which at one time there were 1200 plantations. It is the Eastern
most island in the Caribbean and as such was a slave trade port. While at the
museum we found several interesting things. The English slave trade, relying on
Africans, was developed to service the highly profitable sugar economy. It was
unique in its vast movement of people. There was an oppressive legal structure
and a system of divide and rule along racial lines.
The museum contained records
of a male and female deity spirits that were worshipped. The female deity was
named Atabeyra – Mother of the sea – supreme female spirit of human fertility and
childbirth. The male deity was named Yocahu, which means giver of cassava, which
is a food eaten in the islands. There was also a dog spirit – Opiel-giaobiran –
he who cares for the souls of the immediately deceased. It has the symbol of
death, the skull with canine teeth of a dog.
We also found out they have a
Trafalgar Square with a Lord Nelson column that is older than the one found at
Trafalgar Square in London, England. We dealt with the lines of the enemy as we
had done in London. The square in Barbados sits in front of the port where the
slaves were traded. We dealt with the trafficking of the souls of men and
repented for the participation of England and the U.S.A. and the part we played
in this. I told them the Word of God says those whose sins you retain are held
in the spirit realm and everyone is bound up in the sin, but those whose sins you
remit or forgive it looses the people, nations everyone and everything to be free
to be who God designed them to be. The pastor there really began to release the
slave traders, the plantation owners, and everyone involved, which we believe
will bring freedom to
Africa,
England, Barbados and America
to be who God desires us to be.
