Earlier this week we received the following article on “Missionaries – the New Crusaders.” Published on February 24 in the Turkish Daily News, this article shares how the Religious Affairs Directorate in Turkey has prepared a sermon to be shared this Friday (March 11) describing missionaries as the current embodiment of the Crusaders. Last fall the Lord told me to focus on Turkey, and I will be taking a team there in June.
Please pray for those in the Body of Christ in Turkey who are serving to offer hope and a future as opposed to the Crusaders who came to conquer and dominate. Ask the Lord to release angels to war against the plans of the enemy and to protect those who are laboring in Turkey. Pray that the “truth” will be known and that the differences between the light of Christ and the darkness of Islam would become apparent. Also, bind the spirit of violence and lawlessness that could further incite those who hear this sermon.

Missionaries the new crusaders
The Religious Affairs Directorate says the Crusaders are at it again against Islam

The Religious Affairs Directorate, as a reaction to missionary activities in Turkey and European Union demands for religious expression, has prepared a sermon that will be read on March 11 describing missionaries as the current embodiment of the Crusaders.
The sermon says: “Some powers, afraid of the incredible expansion of Islam, had formed crusading armies to wipe out Muslims. They failed because the Crusaders were fighting a self-confident society whose members believed in justice. The same powers are trying to sever our people's links to Islam because they see it as the biggest obstacle to their domination. These highly organized forces are using ethnic differences and economic and political hardship to entice our children. Those who lack proper religious knowledge in particular fall victim to such attacks.”
The sermon says that all efforts by these forces will eventually fail, calling on all Muslims to protect and enshrine Islam.
