Several weeks
ago we sent a notice concerning the city counsel of Hamtramck, Michigan approving
the Islamic call to prayer to be released five times a day over city
loudspeakers. Below is an update from Agape Press that indicates petitioners are
moving to block the amendment. Let’s pray that the petitioners signatures will
be declared valid and the council can respond by reversing the original
decision.

find a report from Chuck Pierce on his recent trip to Santiago de Compostela,
Spain,
the August 14, 2004 site of the Concert of Praise. Please continue to prayer
with us concerning this most important gathering.

...Opponents of
a noise-ordinance change that would allow the Islamic call to prayer in a
Detroit suburb say they have collected
enough signatures to block it. Petitioners submitted 632 signatures to the
Hamtramck, Michigan, city clerk's office and said more will be coming. The
Hamtramck City Council voted unanimously last month to allow mosques to broadcast
the call to prayer five times a day over loudspeakers between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00
p.m. Only 552 signatures were needed to block the amendment. If the signatures
are declared valid, the council can respond by reversing its decision. If the
council refuses, the amendment will be suspended and the issue put on the ballot
for voters to decide. The prayer call issue has sparked debate in a blue-collar
community that once was overwhelmingly Polish and Roman Catholic. Some Muslims
say the call is the equivalent of church bells. Opponents say allowing the
Islamic call gives that religion preferential treatment.

Dear
Worshipping Warriors:
Thank you so
much for praying for our time in
Europe.
This had to be one of the most impacting trips we have ever made. The Lord is
doing a powerful work in the 40/70 Window. In this key time of shifting
alignments we must continue to pray for these nations to shift into God’s plans
and purposes. On Sunday morning we flew from
England to
Spain.
We last visited
Santiago de Compostela,
Spain, two years
ago. Our purpose for returning to this city once again was to prepare for the
“Celebration of Praise” Global Harvest Ministries is sponsoring,
August 14, 2004.
Our time in
Spain
was simply incredible! To see how greatly things have shifted in Santiago de
Compostela was amazing. The Lord is moving powerfully in that region and the
worship gathering that will take place in August will certainly be life changing
as well as nation changing. You really need to consider being there with us on
August 14.
On Monday,
Believers from across that region came together for a day of meetings. That day
was actually a holiday to celebrate the Galician language. The report on the
Weather Channel that morning was very interesting. The broadcaster said that all
of Europe was clear, with rain only
in
Greece.
Furthermore, there was an unusual northerly flow so we might as well
take advantage of the open
heaven while it was there! This report stirred our faith as we
trusted the Lord for open heavens over our meetings and for spiritual
breakthrough in yet another nation in
Europe. Our meeting began with worship. The
Holy Spirit was moving powerfully and I began to prophesy:
“My eye is on
Spain
and I have come to this worshiping city to change the atmosphere. By changing
the atmosphere of this city this nation will enter into a new level. I will
raise up new leaders. I am sending you help, for you need it. You’ve been
warring and have come up against a mountain from the past. Get ready, for your
mountains are about to fall. Shouts of grace are rising up in
Spain that cause
that which is attempting to be built, to be
built, and then My Glory will come in. I will come to this nation and from this
nation I will affect
Israel after you gather
and the atmosphere changes. My covenant land in
Israel will make a shift
because you have worshiped in this place. You will receive blessings on your
churches. Religious leaders will try to rise up harder. You will begin to see a
breakthrough in the Catholic Church. My Spirit will enter the Catholic Church.
Many family members will be saved and it will be heard that signs and wonders
have broken out in
Spain. Those who would
not believe, will now believe. The next generation has grown apathetic - the
next generation who has questioned who I am.
I am getting ready to move on that
next generation. The young people of this nation will become bold, with great
authority. They will enter universities and moves of God will be there.
The change of My Spirit is coming into Spain.”
Our host, Segundo Navaza,
shared that a team of youth will be tracing the pilgrimage routes into Santiago
de Compostela this summer, in preparation for the Celebration of Praise. Marty
Cassady then shared that she had been praying for many months for a team of youth
to do this very thing.
She declared that as this youth team traveled to
Santiago de Compostela, the fire of God would be released to prepare the way the
way of the Lord for revival to enter into
Spain.
I decreed a whirlwind of fire, and that the Spirit of God would come in with
fire. We declared great breakthrough in that land, and that from
Spain, fire would
go out to other nations. Even though
Spain seems
desolate, the Lord is preparing to visit that land and release the people there
in a new way. Following this, the Eagles team prayed for the many young people,
aged 16-30.
In anticipation
of the Celebration of Praise in August, I taught on the relationship between
worship and warfare, and how when we ascend in worship the Lord can then release
revelation to us and mantle us to descend in war. We prayed for the Lord to
bring a Gideon’s Army times-ten from around the world, for the worship gathering
in August, that would cause a shift not only in
Spain,
but in the nations of the world.
That afternoon
we visited the cathedral that is named after the apostle James. When we arrived
in the accompanying plaza where the worship gathering will be held this August, I
began to prophesy. We began to hear the sound of horses, running. Not too much
later a procession of 12 horses entered the plaza. I have been writing all year
that this is a year to run with the horses, and that the Lord would send signs
when we were at the right place, at the right time. We just knew He had ordered
our steps that day.
Santiago de
Compostela is primarily known for being the place the apostle James is said to
have appeared as an apparition on a horse, to lead the Catholics in battle
against the Muslims. Therefore, millions of people now come to this cathedral in
northwest
Spain.
The focal point of their devotion is the main altar of the cathedral, centered
around an opulent idol of James. 2004 is a “holy year” in which a special door
to the cathedral is opened. Sadly, untold numbers of pilgrims to this cathedral
believe that if they walk through the holy door, their sins will be forgiven.
People literally come from all over the world in the holy year to walk through
the Holy Door. We prayed for the stream of people who lined up to go through
this door - that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened. We
actually passed through the DOOR – but in the opposite direction of the pilgrims,
as we chose to go from inside to outside the cathedral. We also prayed for
angels to be sent to station themselves along the path, to help the pilgrims come
to know Christ and His blood sacrifice as the true and only way to eternal life.
Later that day
we returned to the meeting of local Believers. I taught on THE DOOR, beginning
with the story of Cain and Abel. This chapter provides the first mention of the
term “door” in the Bible (Gen. 4:7). Like Cain, the people in
Spain
must decide what they will bring to worship the Lord. If they bring a sacrifice
like Abel did, they will have great authority to stand. I also shared from
Matthew 7 on multiplication. Interestingly, we had brought a financial seed to
give to our host to sow into the August gathering. Unknown to us, our host had
taken an offering earlier in the day to present to me and the team. However, I
knew from the Lord that the offering they received (the first of its kind) was
really to bless them in their ongoing preparations for August. So in a matter of
an hour, the seed we had given them multiplied well over 30 times. Talk about an
example of multiplication!
Many of you
need to consider traveling to
Spain
this summer for our worship gathering on August 14. I will be leading an
intercessory team there. I believe the worship of Jesus Christ will release the
presence of God in a location where the Queen of Heaven has blinded many
throughout the ages, and that many will be liberated out of bondage. I believe
worship is the key to overthrowing a throne of iniquity. Worship opens a Door in
Heaven (Rev. 4:1). Therefore, in the plaza outside this cathedral, we are
planning a worship gathering of several thousand to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
Worship in that place will create a new atmosphere connecting Heaven and earth in
a new way, resulting in salvation. This praise celebration will be an
unforgettable experience for those who take part in it. For more information or
