The 40/70 Window

For years we have been praying for the nations in the 10/40 window. The ground has been plowed and is ready for the gospel to be carried into the gates of these nations. There is one clear thing that can prevent the entry of the gospel into this area - the warring demons. Several months ago I heard the Lord say, "Shift your focus to the 40/70 window." As the Lord pointed this out, I saw the warring demons lined up on the 40th parallel line ready to start an assault. If the warring demons can start a war prematurely, all else will stop. The gates of entrance to the war zone will be closed to those carrying the gospel and possibly only open to the military forces. The Word says that the gospel of the Kingdom must be preached to every nation before the end can come. Satan will use every tactic to block entrance into a nation to extend his time as god of this world, what better way than war.
The early inhabitants of the 40/70 window are first mentioned in Genesis 10 and include Gomer, Togarmah, Magog, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Nimrod, and Canaan. Nimrod built Babel which became Babylon. The spirits behind Bablyon exist even today. The ITES were descendants of Canaan and are still at work as forces against the Kingdom of God. The forces related to Gomer, Togarmah, Magog, Javan, Tubal and Meshech have also not been silent. Their mark on the land can be seen in war after war, in the creation of major nuclear forces, and in the formation of political and religious strongholds. These warring spirits have locked their power into the lives of such men as, Alexander the Great, Kublai Khan, Peter the Great, Napoleon, Hitler, and Stalin, to name only a few. The major nuclear forces of the world, including Russia, China, and North Korea lie in this area. Many of the world conquering empires like the Roman Empire, Ottoman Empire, British Empire, and the Soviet Union were birthed from this region. Additionally, humanism and Communism are two of the philosophies of men that originated here. From this area the plundering of nations has taken place. We have named only a few, there are many more conquering empires, philosophies of men, and world forces that have come from this area.
Through our study of history we have found that the west shore of the Caspian Sea was a sea gate through which wild horsemen of the steppes (Scythians, Aryans, and Huns) rode down upon civilized communities. The steppes are a great grassland area located northwest of the Caspian Sea. In time, the people who came from this area were to conquer the entire known world: Greece, Egypt, all of Asia Minor, the Assyrian empire, much of southern Russia, Afghanistan and northern India were to fall under their sway. These tribes are known to have worshipped a divine Mother. They were a warring people who depended on their horses for victory and caused terror in the land. A sense of superiority surrounded these people. The first person to call himself "king of kings" came from the land of the Persians. Even today the Persian rulers continue to call themselves "king of kings". Time and time again war that started among the tribal people from this 40/70 window in the Euro-Asia area has spread from east to west. The territorial spirits of the area are warring spirits, ones sent to create terror, death, depression, grief, heaviness, failure, slavery, and intoxication. The very spirit of the future Antichrist (Gog, Strong's H1136) may come from these territorial spirits. Psalm 120:5-7 clearly speaks of the nature of the warring spirit: "Woe is me, that I sojourn with Meshech, that I dwell beside the tents of Kedar (as if among notoriously barbarous people)! -- My life has too long had its dwelling with him who hates peace. I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war."
As mentioned not only was the warring spirit prevalent in this territory, but a superior spirit also existed. It was this superior spirit that trafficked in the souls of men. Ezekiel 27:13 says, "Javan, Tubal, and Meshech (in the mountainous region between the Black and Caspian Seas) traded with you. They exchanged the persons of men (taken as slaves), and vessels of bronze for your merchandise." This spirit came to America when slave trading moved across the Atlantic. Even today, slave trading exists in the world as precious lives are sold to those who view themselves as superior. Once the slavery mentality is embedded in the minds of the enslaved, the door to the knowledge of the gospel is blocked. The slave is deprived of education, honor, relationship, and life. They have no sense of freedom. As we pull down these territorial spirits, we must also pray that the hand of the Lord be at work in the lives of these men and women. Without the balance of the Lord, the familiar mentality of slavery will continue to whisper in his or her ears, "Never be a slave to anyone again - not even to the Lord."
In these last days, God is drawing the Jewish people to their own land. In Ezekiel 37, Ezekiel prophesied to the bones of Israel, those that are Jews "Hear the word of the Lord, rise up!" The prophecy spoken in Ezekiel 38 is linked to this restoration of Israel. In Ezekiel 38 Ezekiel began prophesying, "Set your face toward Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against them." Ezekiel went on to prophesy that God will bring out the army, horses, and horsemen of Gog, horses and horsemen along with Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, and Togarmah. A footnote from the Living Bible says, "The names of Gog's confederates (Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, Beth-togarmah) can be identified as Mushki, Tabal, Gimaraya, Tegerama, peoples who lived in the mountainous area southeast of the Black Sea and southwest of the Caspian, currently in central Turkey." It is this army from the north that will come riding upon their horses against Israel in the latter days. In Ezekiel 38:14-16 and Rev. 20:7-9, God speaks of the coming day when He will call Gog into service against restored Israel. Yet it is God's plan to destroy Gog and all the peoples with him (Ezekiel 39:11-13). God will be glorified as these demonic spirits are destroyed.
Today, the territorial spirits of old that are entrenched in the Euro-Asia 40/70 window would love to bring war prematurely, thereby preventing the release of the workers for the harvest. The gospel must go forth, but we must discern the times by asking, "Lord, is this war a calling forth from You or is it one prematurely staged by the demonic forces to hinder the gospel?" Jeremiah 25:30-38 says that God has a controversy with the nations and that there will be a time when he will go from nation to nation bringing judgment to all mankind. God's wrath will come as He moves from nation to nation - the time is near, or perhaps at hand when the sheep and goat nations will be weighed in the balance.
There is much more to say concerning these warring spirits, but space does not allow for more at this time. It is important that the readers beware, take the word of the Watchman, and begin to intercede over this area to see the demonic strongholds bound and the gospel released. We would like to encourage you to pray for Turkey. The aftermath of the earthquakes in recent days has left the nation devastated. As mentioned previously, the territorial spirits over this area are strong. A recent Associated Press article stated, "The head of Turkey's powerful military warned that the state must fight Islamic radicals for '1,000 years if necessary,' and called on parliament to pass tougher laws curtailing religious extremism." From this it appears the government is moving toward purging itself from the grips of the political Islamic. This could lead to somewhat more opportunity for the gospel. There is much stirring in the spiritual realm over this nation. On October 1st, I will be in Turkey for "Celebration Ephesus". Many prayer and worship teams will be joining together at this pivotal time to pray for that nation. If the war is fought in the spirit, the actual shedding of blood may be averted - until the time of the end. Please join us!

As promised, in this issue we will be sharing some words from our readers. In the last few months I have had the privilege of talking with many of you. I know the Lord has a strong prayer force out there and is sharing many powerful words with each of you. It is an honor to join with you praying together to bring forth the heart of our Lord. As many of the words received were rather lengthy, I have taken the liberty to highlight certain portions. We appreciate each of you sharing these words with us.
Among the words received and the conversations I have had, there seem to be two recurring themes: 1) the need for our nation to repent and 2) the danger of God's judgment falling. In an article in "Religion Today", Henry Blackaby said, "The United States is in danger of God's judgment but Christians don't really believe it." He continued to say, "We need to be on our knees today. If you put this country up against Scripture, we are in trouble. Either the United States turns to God in repentance and revival, or there is going to be judgment." Blackaby said he is not so much concerned about the way secular society is living, but about how the Church is doing. The Church is no different than the society around us. We need strong prayer. We need spiritual anointing and ordained proclamations. Non-anointed words will fall useless to the ground. Proclaimers must live lives of holiness and humility. It is life and death when they speak. The three things the Church needs are prayer, Holy Spirit anointing, and men living out holy lives. God will draw people to hear them." The excerpts from this article clearly resound the words we have been hearing from many of you.
There is a call clearly sounding through the Church to holiness or separation, to revival, and to simply choosing life in Jesus. (I Peter 1:16, John 10:10) This word came from Roseann, a reader in Oklahoma: "1999 will be a year of great dichotomy (Webster's dictionary: a cutting in two: division of ideas into two classes). In the government, officials will take sides, those who are righteous from those who are in darkness. In families, many will be saved as righteous members intercede for their loved ones. Others will fall away into outer darkness. In the world scene, great revivals will spring forth. Almost instantly they will attract thousands. They will be the result of many years of prayer and faith in action. And SUDDENLY, the recent interest in the occult and the psychics will change to interest in the true Kingdom and true supernatural blessings from My throne, saith the Lord. The emptiness many have felt in their endless search for the meaning of life will be filled as they cry out to the Great I AM. Many, many, many will cry out and many will be saved. As surely as day is to night, as black is to white, there is coming a distinct separation between the righteous and those who choose Satan's influence, a great dichotomy. So speak to all, these words: 'why halt thee between two opinions? I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live!' (Deut. 30:19) CHOOSE LIFE NOW! Keep preaching about the end times. My Church must wake up and realize how close, how very close they are to the catching away, and the time of great sorrow on the earth (the great tribulation). Tell them Jesus is coming soon. Keep telling them, for it is so very soon. Let them know that the outpouring of My Glory is a sure indication of end time signs. So rejoice and know that I, the great I AM remain in control, and it will all come out, just as IT IS WRITTEN, saith the Lord."
A reader regularly sends me the "Elijah List". It contained a word about several visions Paul Cain has had about the end times. "Mr. Cain said in the midst of the Laodicean church age of lethargy and apathy, that God was preparing in hiddenness an army to pull down enemy strongholds, and go forth in the power of God and have pure and undefiled religion. He's going to do this with people who have stripped themselves and separated themselves from the world, the flesh and the devil. They will realize the end time is here and that things are in a mess and things at the end time are different. Just as it required total sacrifice on the part of the disciples to begin this thing, it will require an equal commitment from us to complete the task in the end times. Joel's mighty army as described in Joel 2 is an army of God, not a wicked army, as some have thought. They are the ones with feet of iron not mixed with clay, with the wisdom of God alone, not imitators of other men of God. Some of the superstars of the church will fall. The Lord will have an army of holy anointed vessels to usher in His kingdom so that no man can take credit for it. It will be to the glory of God alone."
Diana from Michigan received this vision: "While interceding, the Lord gave me a vision. In the vision I saw a large wheel standing straight up. This wheel looked like a gear with small teeth all around closely set together. This wheel was pure white and moving slowly. Then I saw a large, white judge's desk and a large hand holding a gavel coming down on the desk. Then I heard the Holy Spirit speak, 'judgment and justice are coming to My people across this land. Justice is coming to My children where doors have been shut, things that have been held back will now come forward, poverty is going to be broken off of many of My people. My justice will prevail.' Then He spoke concerning ministries. The Lord said, 'I'm going to bring judgment to ministries that are not bearing fruits of righteousness.' He will be sending a fire to these ministries to dissolve the works of the flesh, and He will bring fruits of repentance among His people. No one will be removed, but they will be changed by this fire. I saw many people prostrate on the floor because of the outpouring of fire, weeping and being changed, because they will see God in a greater way and they will be changed. About a month later as I was praying, I was taken in the Spirit to God's courtroom. He said to me, 'what is it that you desire? I will give it to you.' I found myself petitioning the Lord for ministers of the Gospel that have had trouble for a long time. I asked for their deliverance. Then the Spirit said to me, 'this is the time of favor like no other. Only those that are humble will I bring into the courtroom.' I saw others in the courtroom also. This is a time of favor and deliverance for God's people."
The following dream and interpretation are from Sylvia in Georgia. "A violent storm was approaching rapidly. The winds and the rain contained with the storm seemed to be like that of a category five hurricane. The winds were so strong it ripped the roof off our house. The rains were torrential. I saw so much water coming into our house that the paint on the walls began to peel off. The water was leaving its mark on all the walls. The rainfall coming through the roof was so heavy that the water in the den was knee high. I saw our house completely ruined from the winds and from the rain. Suddenly, the very foundation of the house began to shake like an earthquake. As all of this destruction was taking place, I heard the Lord say to me: 'Be prepared, be prepared.' The next day I was puzzled, wondering what the meaning of this dream was. I related this dream to my husband, and told him that I had heard the Lord say, 'Be prepared, be prepared.' Since hurricane season was approaching, we both decided to buy and store plywood to cover our windows and glass doors. It was very apparent that we understood the Lord's warning to apply to a physical event. A year later the Lord gave me the following scripture found in Matt. 7:24-27 'Every one then who hears these word of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock; and the rain fell, and the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house and it fell; and great was the fall of it.' I heard the Lord say natural disasters are coming upon the earth. Judgment is coming upon the people of the earth, and He wants us, His people, to be prepared. He told me to write what I had seen and heard. He informed me that our faith is going to be tested through fire, and He wants His people to be prepared. I heard the Lord say, 'The dream is a warning to every believer to build on the rock, to watch and pray, for the Day of the Lord is near.' We are to be the wise and not the foolish man. The wise man knows and does that which is right in the sight of the Lord. The wise man builds on a sure foundation (Luke 13:24, Isa. 28:16)"
The following are excerpts from the word of the Lord for 1999 given to Marilyn from Chicago: "I have mounted My white horse, and girded Myself to come swiftly and suddenly to settle all accounts and remove the debris that has found itself a bold and comfortable home in My Holy temple. Because I have not judged, think ye not that I will not judge, for SURELY I WILL JUDGE, righteously. I WILL JUDGE AND REWARD EVERY ACT AND EVERY PERSON FOR THEMSELVES AND BY THEMSELVES! I will CUT OFF the sons of Eli! I am about to silence MANY for they speak NOT MY word of truth, for this is the FINAL SIFTING before I release the earthquakes that will cleave the mountains in two. I ALONE shall sit down and raise up according to how it is pleasing to ME to do. Every elevation which has side-stepped ME shall fall into the pit and the abyss of judgment because MY hand of power has not sanctioned or authorized it! I am about to empty the censer of My blessings AND judgments upon the earth, each man according to his own labor and what he has SOWN, for yea, I see and behold ALL the deeds of man that are done under the cover of darkness! I am PASSING BY, in the winds of change, by way of My Spirit, and many shall be PASSED OVER!
A pastor from Irving, Texas sent a collection of words he has gathered over the past few years. Included in this collection were these words: "In this last hour, I am restoring the Judges to the Body of Jesus Christ, the Church. There is judgment pending in the heart of God the Father. Jesus Christ, the Son, is interceding for you to receive while there is still time. I am the Holy Spirit who speaks to the Churches - to the pastors to give a 'word of the Lord' message to the People of God. He who has an ear, let him hear and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit and obey the word of the Lord -lest judgment shall fall from the Throne. For the final judgment will begin in and at the house of God, the church, the pastor, then the call will go forth to the believer. The faithful will hear the word and obey. The hard heart will hear the word and become confused, because judgment has begun."
Sharon from California had this vision: "He slowly began to open the scroll and I began to travail from within, I knew what was about to happen was not good. As I was watching Him, I noticed what looked like another human kneeling underneath where the scroll was being opened. This person kneeling had what looked like a bowl of some kind in his hands. As I watched, this person put the bowl in both hands, and offered it up to the Lord. I could see smoke coming from this bowl. Then all of a sudden, as the Lord began to open the scroll, the angels began to lift their trumpets to the air. When half way up, they stopped. I wondered why they stopped. I knew He was going to pronounce judgment on the earth. As I was looking at the scroll I could see black letters written on it, but could not make out the words. While the Lord was still standing about to proclaim out loud, I saw an "X" cross over the first sentence that the Lord was going to proclaim. Then the Lord rolled the scroll to the next sentence and was about to proclaim when the same thing happened. It seemed as if it came out of nowhere, another "X" crossed out this sentence also about to be proclaimed!"
Several readers have written to us identifying some of the spiritual forces that rule in the areas of their watch. I am thankful the Lord is revealing these things to us so we will know how to pray, bind and loose those under the influence of these forces. In the Wisconsin area, the Lord has shown Kathryn that the spirit of Molech is present, as well as the spirit of poverty. The Lord gave Linda from Massachusetts three dreams about Diana, (the spirit of Diana in Acts). She feels the Lord was revealing to her that the spirit of Diana's influence and control in the Boston area was strong and far-reaching. Steve in White Plains, NY feels his area is a major target for nuclear attack because there are many communication and major corporation headquarters based there. Terre in Washington state wrote this about the Northwest "The major strongmen over the Northwest is Leviathan and the pioneering spirit. According to George Otis, Jr. who lives north of Seattle, one of the reasons we haven't experienced revival is because God is just plain angry with us. We have never brought down the Indian traditions and religion that is still ruling above God in this area. Washingtonians would just as soon worship the outdoors. Totem poles are proliferous in the state, especially on the capitol grounds. People would rather be outdoors than worshiping God on Sunday. The founding fathers in this area were all Masons."
It is clear from all these words that God is calling a people who will join Him in establishing His Kingdom in the earth. In Joshua 8, God spoke saying, "Do not be afraid, go up and attack Ai." It is time to hear the wind in the mulberry trees. It is time to move in the anointing of Elisha, who hears the battle plans of the enemy. Receive the strategy of the Holy Spirit that will lead us forth into battle, and we heed these words to possess the land. We must go into the enemy's territory with full confidence that as we set God directed ambushes, the Lord will deliver our cities and nations into our hands, Jeremiah 51:12.
