2) the US Presidential Inauguration, which interestingly focuses on a group of drummers who will be drumming for abortion rights and against President Bush, and

Earlier this week I sent an initiative entitled “Pray for the Nations.” In it I included only a portion of Chuck Pierce’s posting regarding the elections in Iraq. I realize that many of you receive his postings so I will provide a link to the post for those of you who do not.

SPECIAL REQUEST FROM Dublin (OH) Baptist Church MEMBER LYLE SHACKELFORD, SERVING AS A CHAPLAIN WITH U.S. ARMY UNIT IN IRAQ:
As a Transportation Battalion, my Unit will be delivering the voting machines and the ballots to villages and cities throughout Iraq during the upcoming elections on January 30/31, 2005. Our convoys are prime targets for the insurgents because they do not want the equipment to arrive at the polling stations nor do they want the local Iraqi citizens to have the chance to vote; timely delivery must occur so that the elections occur. Encourage your friends and family members and those within our churches to pray specifically for the electoral process. (and God's Will!)
Historically, the previous totalitarian regime would not allow individual citizens to vote. Democracy will not be realized in Iraq if intelligent and competent officials are not elected to those strategic leadership positions within the emerging government; freedom will not have an opportunity to ring throughout this country if the voting process fails.
Please announce this prayer request to your contacts in your churches, neighborhoods, and places of business. Those with leadership roles within the local church please post this message in as many newsletters and bulletins as possible. There is unlimited potential for God's presence in this process but if we do not pray then our enemy will prevail (See Ephesians 6:10-17). A prayer vigil prior to the end of the month may be an innovative opportunity for those within your sphere of influence to pray.
This is a political battle that needs spiritual intervention. A powerful story about God's intervention in the lives of David's mighty men is recorded in 2 Samuel 23:8-33. David and his warriors were victorious because of God's intervention. We want to overcome those who would stand in the way of freedom. David's mighty men triumphed over incredible odds and stood their ground and were victorious over the enemies of Israel. (Iraqi insurgents' vs. God's praying people). They don't stand a chance.
I will pray with my soldiers before they leave on their convoys and move outside our installation gates here at Tallil. My soldiers are at the nerve center of the logistic operation to deliver the voting machines and election ballots. They will be driving to and entering the arena of the enemy. This is not a game for them. It is a historical mission that is extremely dangerous. No voting machines or ballots. No elections. Your prayer support and God's intervention are needed to give democracy a chance in this war-torn country. Thank you for reading this e-mail. Please give this e-mail a wide dissemination. Thank you for your prayer support for me and my family. Stand firm in your battles. May Jesus' precious blood cover all of us, and you and yours. We have received the following email to which Martha stated: “As they are drumming up a storm, we need to pray up a storm. It is time for the prayers of God's people to drown out the sound of these new-agers and idolaters as we lift our voice to Almighty God to save us as a nation and forgive us. We ask for the salvation of those who have been blinded by the god of this world as we stand in the gap at this critical time. If the Lord doesn't keep this nation it will not be kept.”
Counter Inaugural Drumming - State Capital Building in Denver
Folks, the Drumming scheduled for Inauguration Day, January 20th, has become part of a much larger happening of events. All I can tell you is this... If you miss it, you've missed something big and very special. So I hope you can make it out to join us.
10:a.m. Our morning gathering is part of the nation wide event called 10,000 Drums for Peace. This event is the coordination of drummers in all 50 states, who will be meeting at the exact same time that Bush starts his inauguration speech (10a.m. our time). Here in Denver, we are asking drummers to join us at 10a.m. on the west steps of the Capitol. At the exact same time, drummers all over the country will start their drumming to the beat of a heartbeat rhythm. And we will be a part of that heartbeat. The concept behind 10,000 Drums for Peace, is to counter the negative energy of the inauguration, with the positive energy of our united drumming for peace. We expect the heartbeat rhythm to eventually break into an open and freestyle drum circle.

During the time of our drumming, NARAL (an abortion rights group) will be inside the Capitol lobbying, and we ask you to join us in greeting them warmly with our drums and chanting when they come out at 12noon. They will be presenting several speakers who will address the seriousness of this situation in our country, which is increasingly putting women's lives at risk. Our drumming will serve as a supportive (not disruptive) energy for NARAL at noon

From 12:30 to 1pm we ask you to join us in "drumming up a storm", as well as participate in some lively chants to set the mood for the start of the 3 November Movement rally.

The 3 November Movement will start their "No Bush Mandate" rally at 1pm. They will have a number of speakers from 1pm to appx 2:30. We
are asking drummers to be supportive, and not disruptive, to the speakers.

Interested in marching, your drums will only add to the energy and inspiration of the moment. So please consider doing so.

Dear Intercessors,
At a recent meeting of prophets in Colorado Springs, convened by Peter Wagner, a consensus came that there needed to be a heightened level of intercession for the nation, especially the courts, over the next few days and weeks. This was then confirmed by a dream about Lou Engle and me which I will share with you momentarily.
First, let me give you a little background information on what Lou Engle is doing. (You can go to his website at www.thecauseusa.com for a more detailed presentation of Lou's plans.) God has given Lou and his team of intercessors several dreams and prophetic words which indicate that he is to start a house of prayer in Washington D.C. That is beginning this week, although Lou also did a several week prayer focus there leading up to the elections. His focus will be the courts, especially the overturning of Roe v Wade. I am partnering with Lou in this effort as is Mike Bickle and several other leaders. I will be with Lou this Thursday night for a special meeting at which time I will be helping to launch this new effort. The timing of that has to do with this prayer alert and the dream that was shared with Lou and me.
Here are the primary details of the dream: Lou and I were in a building together; it was some sort of a banquet atmosphere and setting. Lou was talking to people around him about prayer and fasting but he was for the most part ignored. I was talking to individuals and they were listening to me. Lou was growing frustrated that the people around him were not listening to his passion about praying and fasting, but rather were just chattering and eating. I handed him something that the person having the dream could not see and said, "Here Lou, if you will strike this, they will listen to you." I also handed him a conductor's wand with which to strike the instrument. Lou did this and the sound reverberated through the room and everyone began to pay close attention to him. When he turned back around to me, what he was striking could be seen and it was the scales of justice. He then looked at me and said, "This crescendo will reach its fullness on March the first."
Here are some insights that we feel are significant from this dream. Obviously the scales of justice are confirmation that this is the issue we must focus on now. Secondly the fact that they had to be struck pictures intercession (the Hebrew word for intercession is paga, which means to "strike the mark". Thirdly, the conductor's wand indicates agreement since the Greek word for agreement is sumphoneo, from which we get our word symphony. The fact that Lou and I were together and I handed him these things obviously indicates a need for our partnering.
The date March 1 we believe is very significant. Though the number 40 was not in the dream, if you back up 40 days from March the first, it is this Thursday night, which is also the night that I was to speak for Lou in Washington DC and help launch this new effort. And it is Inauguration Day. We believe something is to be launched in the spirit this Thursday, Inauguration Day. A massive effort of prayer and fasting for 40 days which will culminate on February 28 and break through in the heavenlies causing a crescendo in the spirit by March 1. This week also is the week that Norma McCorvey (Roe in Roe v Wade) is re-filing her case with the Supreme Court in an effort to overturn abortion rights. We feel that this timing is significant also.
We also believe that the end of the 40 days on 2/28 is symbolic of Joel 2:28. You can read this passage yourself, but we believe this 40 day period is a Joel fast to raise up a Joel's army and will create a great breakthrough and outpouring of God's Spirit in the land.
Please pass the word on this to all intercessors that you know. Please join us from this Thursday, January 20 through February 28 and let's strike in intercession the scales of justice and believe for breakthrough by March 1. Fast as the Lord leads you, special prayer meetings would be wonderful, night watches would be appropriate. This should be an all out assault on this issue of abortion and the courts. Let's strike the scales with agreement and believe for a crescendo by March 1.
