Liverpool Oct 29-30, 2006

Just a quick synopsis of some of the latest exciting times the Lord has allowed me to be part of. 

I was in Liverpool, England to do a conference and meet with a prayer group that meets at Strawberry Fields.  I am pretty dense when it comes to the Beatles and their music.  I didn’t know this was a famous place because of their songs.  Anyway we arrived there to meet with the prayer team and had a good time of prayer, then went into the town of Liverpool as it was a celebration for the city and called the arts festival.

Isn’t it interesting that God shows us even through art what is going on in a city.  Liverpool is a place where many things have been exported to the world including the songs of the Beatles – the slave ships left from there, and much more.  The Lord began to show me that what they had exported had turned back on them.  Now let me say that there is a great group of people in Liverpool who are believing God for their city and will not give up until they see their city changed.

We arrived in the city and I was expecting to go to a building with an art exhibit, but it was actually things all around the city that represented art.  The first thing we came to was in front of a large municipal building with four huge lions in front.  The art festival had placed steel cages around these lions as art.  I said look they have shut down the roar of the lion.  A caged lion doesn’t roar.  One of the ladies with us had a beautiful shofar from Israel and began to blow it in every direction and release the roar of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.  We then began to call in the new sound into the city that would cleanse the city – by the way it was pouring rain.

We then saw a church building that had been bombed in World War II that had only the sides standing.  No roof, windows etc.  For the art festival fishing boats turned up-side down were placed inside the dead bombed out church.  What a prophetic picture of a city that the church is dead and the fishing boats are pulled in to shore and turned upside down.  They had had another festival that they told me the Lord had given them the scripture where the Lord told the disciples to put their nets on the other side and they caught such a large catch they had to have help.  Anyway you can see what God was saying and the people there were definitely in tune with God.  As I met with the different prayer leaders around the city I was very encouraged by what I saw and heard.
